Originally from Hemingway, S.C.

Captain Jacqueline D. LeGree serves as the supervisor of the Evidence and Property Section for the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office. In this capacity, she oversees the receipt, identification, categorization and storage of all property collected and submitted by Sheriff’s Office personnel. She implements policies for safeguarding the evidentiary integrity of all the property collected.

She also is responsible for supervising daily operations, personnel staff, as well as detailing quality services and training as it relates to the Preservation of Act Standards and CALEA Accreditation requirements.

Captain LeGree’s law enforcement career began in 1991 with the Orangeburg Department of Public Safety. In 1999, Sheriff P.J. Tanner recruited her as Victims Advocate assigned to Southern Beaufort County. In that role, Captain LeGree ensured that all rights of a victim/witness were upheld in accordance with the Victim’s Bill of Rights.
