Captain Jeff Purdy

Joined the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office in 1993.
Originally from Coral Springs, Fla.

Captain Jeff Purdy is the Branch Captain of the Northern Enforcement Branch for the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office. His responsibilities include leading and managing the Northern Beaufort County Uniform Patrol Section, Criminal Investigations Section, Victim Advocacy Program, the Crime Scene Unit and the Sex Offender Registry.

During his career with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, Captain Purdy has served in the following capacities: patrol deputy, criminal investigator, crime scene investigator, patrol shift supervisor, SWAT team member, supervisor for the Northern Criminal Investigations Section, investigator with the Environmental Crimes Unit, Marine Patrol Unit member, assistant supervisor of Courthouse Security; and as a Lieutenant supervising the Northern Criminal Investigations Section, Victim Advocacy, Sex Offender Registry and Crime Scene Unit.
