IT Network Analyst

Information Technology provides support to the deputies and civilians of the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office. The IT Network Analyst assists in ensuring the deputies and civilians can carry out their roles efficiently and productively, utilizing a variety of technologies available to the law enforcement environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides technical work regarding the design, installation, maintenance, hardware and software support (e.g. install, maintain, repair, upgrade) for agency network, servers, computers, printers, faxes, scanners, etc. Installs and supports system software, (e.g. Windows 11, 10 and various Emulators, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Provides guidance, oversight and exercises independent judgment, practical decision making, problem solving, planning, and accountability for assigned responsibilities. Responsible for obeying and enforcing all applicable directives, rules and regulations of the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office. 
  • Maintains all necessary standards, qualifications, and certification standards required of an Information Technology Network Analyst.
  • Maintains a neat, orderly, and safe working environment.
  • Maintains positive working relationships with other employees, agencies, and partners.

Minimum Training and Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Computer Technology/Science or equivalent training with two to three years of experience in the field of computer technology and sciences.
  • Prefer A+, N+, S+ or Microsoft MCSE certifications.
  • Prefer additional training or experience in technology computer servers, software, networking and hardware.
  • Any combination of training, college education and experience which provides the skills, knowledge and abilities required for the position.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license at the time of appointment.
  • Must be able to pick up and transport equipment up to 50 pounds. Physical ability to move equipment or furniture for access to data jack panels and data processing equipment. Ability to maneuver in small rooms and tight areas for diagnostic tests of equipment. Physical ability to climb ladders for access to ceilings, beneath or on floors, or on walls.

  • If you are a former law enforcement officer, provide all training certificates.

SALARY, INCENTIVES & BENEFITS

The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office has a highly competitive pay plan.

The salary for this position is based upon education and experience.

This position is eligible to receive an annual pay increase based on satisfactory performance evaluations.

Pay Incentives for Education and Spanish Fluency
