The Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred in the Muddy Creek Road area of Hilton Head Island that left two men injured.
At approximately 8:05 p.m. last night., deputies responded to the area of Muddy Creek Road and Bryant Road on Hilton Head for a “shots fired” call. The Beaufort County Communications Center received several calls of shots being fired in the area.
When deputies arrived they found a 23-year-old Hilton Head man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital by emergency medical services.
As deputies and investigators were processing the crime scene and interviewing witnesses, an 18-year-old man arrived at Hilton Head Hospital with injuries sustained from gunfire. It was determined that he was also shot at the Muddy Creek/Bryant Road location.
Both victims have been transferred to Savannah Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The circumstances leading up to this event are being investigated.
