After a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office deputy makes an arrest, charges are filed with the Beaufort County Clerk of Court.
To follow the status of a case online, click here for the Beaufort County Fourteenth Judicial Circuit Public Index. There, you can search by name or case number.
Depending on the nature of the charges, your case will either be heard in General Sessions Court or Magistrate Court.
Cases filed in General Sessions are handled by the 14th Circuit Solicitor’s Office. To speak with someone at the Solicitor’s Office, call 843-779-8477.
Cases in Magistrate Court are handled by the arresting deputy. For questions related to your Magistrate Court case, contact the deputy named on your ticket.
