Just before 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022, the Sheriff’s Office, the Bluffton Township Fire District and the Beaufort Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at the golf maintenance shed, Utility Dr., Callawassie Island.
When emergency personnel arrived, the shed was fully engulfed in flames and, as a result, the structure, along with its contents, sustained considerable damage.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
The Sheriff’s Office and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division’s Arson Unit are investigating.
