Shortly before midnight on July 19, 2023, deputies responded to 11 Southwood Park Drive, Hilton Head Gardens, for a report of a gunshot victim.
An 18-year-old Hardeeville resident was hanging out in the parking lot with a group of friends when he was shot one time. He made his way into a nearby apartment and emergency services were called.
The victim was transported to Savanah Memorial Hospital where he remains in stable condition.
