On March 20, 2015, 34-year-old Antonio Brewer and his girlfriend prepared to go to work. Antonio placed 3-year-old child into his vehicle in the parking lot of Port Royal Apartments, Grober Hill Road, Port Royal.

Brewer left the child with his girlfriend in his vehicle and went back to the apartment for a moment.

When Brewer returned and got into the driver’s seat, a gray car pulled up next to his vehicle. The driver of the gray exited and began firing multiple shots from a handgun at Brewer, his girlfriend and the child.

Antonio attempted to escape the area by putting his car into reverse and backing away from the shooting subject, but his car backed into a fence and came to rest. Brewer was pronounced dead at the scene from gunshot wounds, while his girlfriend and the child suffered non-fatal wounds.

According to witnesses, the male driver (shooter) and his male passenger fled the scene in the gray vehicle, which was described as a Honda or Toyota.

To date, this case is unsolved. However, investigators learned that Brewer may have been targeted to prevent his appearance in court as a witness in a murder case.
