Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office investigators have arrested five individuals in connection to the September 15, 2024, shooting incident at Magnolia Park Apartments in Burton that left one dead, and two others hurt.
17-year-old Derrick Jerrod McKee of Beaufort was arrested on Friday, October 4, 2024, for murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, and aggravated breach of peace. McKee’s arrest comes after the arrests of three others, 23-year-old Storm Lemont Zop Polite of Dale, 18-year-old Jeremiah Kieyonte Warren of Beaufort and 18-year-old Rashod Lorenzo Williams of Grays Hill. All three face the same charges as McKee. A 14-year-old has also been detained on the same charges.
The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
