The Sheriff’s Office reminds Beaufort County residents and visitors not to leave gifts, valuables or firearms in their vehicles. Make it a habit to lock your vehicle and set your alarm to discourage would-be thieves.
Be on alert for scams — whether over the phone, online or in-person.
Please do not drink and drive.
Remember to check on loved ones, particularly anyone who might be spending the holidays alone.
