The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a North Carolina woman in connection with a stabbing that occurred early Tuesday morning on Hilton Head Island.
At approximately 1:45 a.m. on August 12, 2025, deputies responded to a villa on Folly Field Road for a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, deputies located a 25-year-old man suffering from stab wounds. The female suspect, identified as 19-year-old Kyra Honeycut of Spruce Pine, NC, along with several witnesses, remained on scene.
The investigation revealed that everyone in the villa was vacationing together from North Carolina. An argument inside the residence escalated into a physical altercation. At some point during the incident, Honeycut retrieved a knife and stabbed the victim.
Hilton Head Island Fire Rescue transported the victim to a local hospital for medical treatment for his injuries.
Honeycut was arrested on the charge of attempted murder. She remains in custody at the Beaufort County Detention Center.
