Major Angela Viens
Joined the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office in 1996.

Major Angela Viens is the the Public Information Officer serving as a liaison between the media, community and the Sheriff’s Office. She also oversees community programs and outreach on behalf of the Sheriff’s Office.
Major Viens began her career with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office as a patrol deputy in August 1996. She was assigned to Southern Enforcement and later served as a field training officer.
In January 1999, she transferred to the Southern Investigations Section and for the next 15 years was promoted through the ranks to Master Sergeant. As the Master Sergeant over the section, she was responsible for directing and supervising the daily operations.
In February 2014, she transferred back to patrol and served as the Master Sergeant over the Southern Enforcement Section. She was promoted to Lieutenant in July 2015 to serve over the Southern Investigations Section. She was responsible for the administration of and planning, coordinating, and supervising the daily activities of personnel assigned to the Investigations Section.
In April 2018, she was promoted to Captain serving Southern Enforcement. She was promoted to Major in January 2021.
