Major Glenn Zanelotti
Joined the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office in 1991.
Originally from Buffalo, N.Y.
Major Glenn Zanelotti serves as the Administrative Division Major and currently oversees the Criminal Records and Warrants, Civil Process, Recruiting and Staffing, School Resource Officer, and Information Technology. In addition, he oversees the Special Services Section, the Evidence and Property Section and the Forensic Services Laboratory.
Major Zanelotti started with the Sheriff’s Office in August 1991 as a Deputy Sheriff assigned to patrol northern Beaufort County. In April 1993, he was assigned to the Drug Task Force as an Investigator. In April 1995, he was promoted to the rank of Corporal and assigned to patrol as an assistant shift supervisor. In 2001, he was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant as a shift supervisor. He transferred to the Southern Enforcement Branch in June 2004 and was promoted to the rank of Master Sergeant in April 2005.
In January 2006, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and assigned as the Operations Lieutenant for the Southern Enforcement Branch. He was transferred to the headquarters building in February 2014 and promoted to the rank of Captain, serving as the Recruiting and Staffing Officer. In August 2018, he was promoted to the rank of Major and served as the Major of the Southern Enforcement Branch.
