Registration open for BCSO Citizens Police Academy. Registration for the Spring 2023 Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Citizens Police Academy (CPA) is now open – space is limited so please apply by CLICKING HERE.
The CPA program is a free 9 week program in which participants will be taught over 20 classes. CPA participants meet once a week and will be educated about about the many services the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office provides, including Patrol Operations, 911 Dispatch, Criminal and Cold Case Investigations, Active Shooters and the Forensic Lab. Also during the program, participants have one Saturday event where students are shown demonstrations by our Special Operations Teams to include, SWAT and K-9 Units. At the conclusion of the CPA program participants have the opportunity to take a Ride-A-Long with a Patrol Deputy. This free program is a great opportunity for Beaufort County Citizens to learn about the resources provided to them by the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.

For your convenience, the program is offered at locations in both Northern and Southern Beaufort County.
The first class for those registered in the Northern Beaufort County CPA program is scheduled for Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at a location in Beaufort.
The first class for those registered in the Southern Beaufort County CPA program is scheduled for Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at a location in Bluffton.
