September 30 | Sheriff’s Office continues to monitor Hurricane Ian

The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office continues to monitor Hurricane Ian and its potential impacts on our community.

Currently, we are seeing rain and sustained winds of 28 mph and wind gusts of up to 47 mph in some areas of the county.

Although it appears we are out of the danger zone, flooding and wind damage is still a concern.  High tide will peak today at approximately 1:00 p.m.

We are still under a hurricane warning, storm surge warning, flood watch, rip current advisory, and high surf advisory.

If you need to report a downed tree or storm-related damage, please call our non-emergency number at 843-524-2777 and reserve calling 911 for emergencies.
