The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce a new training and certification process, that if qualified, a candidate can do here in Beaufort County. It will allow qualified candidates to become Class 3 Advanced certified law enforcement officers and serve as School Resource Officers (SROs) in Beaufort County elementary schools.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Training Council has approved a nine-week training program for those interested in becoming a school resource officer in our elementary schools.
The Class 3 Advanced School Resource Officers will work the same schedule as the administrative/teaching staff with the Beaufort County School District.
Qualified candidates will complete their certification training, as well as SRO training here at the Sheriff’s Office.
The salary for this position – $45,000.
