Earlier today, March 2, 2023, at approximately 7:45 am, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office was called to the area of Harrison Island Road in Bluffton for a woman suffering from a gunshot wound.
Deputies located a 24-year-old Bluffton woman inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound. Community members reported hearing several shots fired in the area prior to the victim being found.
The woman was transported by Beaufort County Emergency Medical Services to Coastal Carolina Hospital and later transported to Savannah for treatment.
Investigators have processed the crime scene and are currently conducting follow-up interviews with people associated with the victim.
