After a long hiatus due to the pandemic, the Sheriff’s Office is once again seeking participants between the ages of 14 and 21 for our Explorer Program.
Benefits of our program include opportunities to ride along with patrol officers, education and hands-on training. Our program provides a great foundation for those interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement.
The Sheriff’s Office Explorer Program — Explorer Post 278 — meets from 7 to 9 p.m. every other Tuesday. The group alternates meetings between our Hilton Head Island and Beaufort offices.
The first meeting is at 7 p.m. July 6, 2021, at 70 Shelter Cove Lane on Hilton Head. Our next meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. July 20.
For more information on the program and to apply, please contact Explorer Program Coordinator Kiera Morris at 843-255-3316 or email her at [email protected].
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office appreciates your partnership in the safety of our community.
