The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the mass shooting that occurred at Willy’s Bar & Grill on St. Helena Island, a tragedy that took the lives of four people and left sixteen others injured.
This wasn’t just an act of violence. It was an attack that tore through families – mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, aunts, uncles, and cousins – people who are deeply loved in our community. Their loss is felt in homes, schools, and workplaces all across Beaufort County.
Sheriff PJ Tanner and our investigators have strong evidence that numerous eyewitnesses were present that night. We know some of you saw what happened, and your information, no matter how small it may seem, could be what helps us bring justice to the victims and their families.
Please, if you witnessed the shooting or know anything about those responsible, come forward. Be courageous. Please help us give these families the answers they deserve and help make our community safer for everyone.
