Information sought in multiple shooting investigations, two of the three victims remain hospitalized

Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office investigators are asking for information regarding multiple separate shooting incidents that have occurred over the last few days.

On Sunday, December 15, 2024, at about 3 p.m., deputies were alerted to a gunshot victim who sought medical attention at the Tidewatch Emergency Department in Bluffton. Through the investigation, it was learned the shooting occurred in the area of Polk Village in Beaufort. The victim, a 32-year-old Saint Helena Island man, was transported to a Savannah area hospital for treatment. He is listed in critical, but stable condition. On Saturday, December 14, 2024, at about 12:30 a.m., deputies were called to a home on Familial Lane on Lady’s Island for the report of a gunshot victim. Once there, deputies found the home had been shot from the street, and a 35-year-old man who was inside had been struck. He was taken to an area hospital for his injury, which is considered non-life threatening. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call Sergeant Moore at 843-255-3441.

On Thursday, December 12, 2024, at about 7:30 p.m., deputies were called to the area of Storyteller and Lands End Roads on Saint Helena Island for the report of a gunshot victim. Deputies located a 20-year-old Saint Helena Island man inside a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim is currently at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) listed in critical condition. While the investigation into this incident was underway, deputies on scene heard additional gunfire. Further investigation led deputies to a home on Scott Hill Road on Saint Helena Island that had been shot at multiple times. No injuries were reported in this incident.
