The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two separate shootings and requesting the public’s help.
On Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at about 9:20 p.m., deputies learned a vehicle traveling in the area of County Shed Road and Jennings Road in Burton had been shot multiple times. Four occupants of the vehicle were injured and one home was damaged as a result of the gunfire.
And then shortly before 2 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, deputies were called to a home on No Man Land Road on Saint Helena Island in reference to a home stuck multiple times by gunfire. No one was injured.
