Two arrested in drug trafficking probe targeting fentanyl and methamphetamine sales

A yearlong investigation into the sale and distribution of fentanyl and methamphetamine in southern Beaufort County resulted in two arrests.

On Tuesday, June 25, 2024, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Task Force executed a search warrant at a home in Bluffton.

During the search of the home, investigators found substantial amounts of fentanyl and methamphetamine, marijuana, and firearms. One of the firearms was reported stolen.

The following individuals were arrested as a result:

  • Robert Brandon Timblin, 33, of Bluffton
    • Trafficking Methamphetamine
    • Trafficking Fentanyl
    • Distribution of Methamphetamine, 1st offense (2 counts)
    • Possession of Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Convicted of a Violent Crime
    • Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime
  • Ellen Danielle Alberg, 24, of Bluffton
    • Distribution of Methamphetamine, 1st offense (3 counts)
    • Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine
    • Distribution of Methamphetamine Within Proximity of School

Both Timblin and Alberg remain in custody at the Beaufort County Detention Center. Additional charges may be forthcoming.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
