Major James Bukoffsky

Major James Bukoffsky

Joined the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office in 1990.
Originally from Northern Ohio.

Major James Bukoffsky is the Northern Enforcement Branch Commander for the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office. He is responsible for the daily operations of the Enforcement and Criminal Investigation sections. Major Bukoffsky is also responsible for the management of the Communications Center, which handles all the 911 calls and dispatches for five different disciplines.

Prior to joining the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office in 1990, Major Bukoffsky was certified as an Ohio Peace Officer. In Beaufort County, he was first assigned as a Patrol Officer in the Northern Enforcement Branch, where he was promoted to Corporal. He then accepted a position in the Criminal Investigations Section, where he worked for several years. Major Bukoffsky moved up through the ranks and, upon being promoted to Master Sergeant, returned to the Patrol Section.
